And after ¹  you have read this letter, have it read ²  to the church of Laodicea. In turn, read the letter from Laodicea ³  as well.

When they read it aloud, ¹  the people ²  rejoiced at its encouragement. ³ 

So Philip ran up ¹  to it ²  and heard the man ³  reading Isaiah the prophet. He ⁴  asked him, ⁵  “Do you understand what you’re reading?”

He said to him, “What is written in the law? How do you understand it?” ¹ 

When the governor ¹  had read ²  the letter, ³  he asked ⁴  what province he was from. ⁵  When he learned ⁶  that he was from Cilicia, ⁷ 

But until this very day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their minds, ¹ 

I call on you solemnly in the Lord ¹  to have this letter read to all the brothers and sisters. ² 

He ¹  said to them, “Haven’t you read what David did when he and his companions were hungry –

Now as for the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God, ¹ 

Have you not read this scripture: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. ¹ 

and was returning home, sitting ¹  in his chariot, reading ²  the prophet Isaiah.

You yourselves are our letter, ¹  written on our hearts, known and read by everyone,

When reading this, ¹  you will be able to ²  understand my insight into this secret ³  of Christ.

Or have you not read in the law that the priests in the temple desecrate the Sabbath and yet are not guilty?

He answered, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator made them male and female, ¹ 

“So when you see the abomination of desolation ¹  – spoken about by Daniel the prophet – standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),

He said to them, “Have you never read what David did when he was in need and he and his companions were hungry –

Jesus ¹  answered them, ²  “Haven’t you read what David did when he and his companions were hungry –

For Moses has had those who proclaim him in every town from ancient times, ¹  because he is read aloud ²  in the synagogues ³  every Sabbath.”

For we do not write you anything other than what ¹  you can read and also understand. But I hope that you will understand completely ²
