So ¹  they gave him a piece of broiled fish,

(2:1) ¹ The Lord sent ²  a huge ³  fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the stomach of the fish three days and three nights.

He turned their water into blood, and killed their fish.

Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the stomach of the fish

Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? ¹ 

Jesus said, ¹  “Bring some of the fish you have just now caught.”

What father among you, if your ¹  son asks for ²  a fish, will give him a snake ³  instead of a fish?

They ¹  said to him, “We have here only five loaves and two fish.”

anything that crawls ¹  on the ground, or any fish in the deep waters of the earth. ² 

the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea and everything that moves through the currents ¹  of the seas.

Then the Lord commanded ¹  the fish and it disgorged Jonah on dry land.

When they got out on the beach, ¹  they saw a charcoal fire ready ²  with a fish placed on it, and bread.

Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish.

Fishermen will stand beside it; from Engedi to En-eglaim they will spread nets. They will catch many kinds of fish, like the fish of the Great Sea. ¹ 

and they picked up the broken pieces and fish that were left over, twelve baskets full.

They also had a few small fish. After giving thanks for these, he told them to serve these as well.

Or speak ¹  to the earth ²  and it will teach you, or let the fish of the sea declare to you.

Jesus said to them, “How many loaves do you have?” They replied, “Seven – and a few small fish.”

When ¹  they had done this, they caught so many fish that their nets started to tear. ² 

For ¹  Peter ²  and all who were with him were astonished ³  at the catch of fish that they had taken,
