Hatred ¹  stirs up dissension, but love covers all transgressions. ² 

why it is so dark you cannot see, ¹  and why a flood ²  of water covers you.

With his hands ¹  he covers ²  the lightning, and directs it against its target.

Above all keep ¹  your love for one another fervent, ²  because love covers a multitude of sins. ³ 

He conceals ¹  the face of the full moon, ²  shrouding it with his clouds.

See how he scattered ¹  his lightning ²  about him; he has covered the depths ³  of the sea.

Arrogance is their necklace, ¹  and violence their clothing. ² 

He covers ¹  the sky with clouds, provides the earth with rain, and causes grass to grow on the hillsides. ²

You are to take all the fat that covers the entrails, and the lobe ¹  that is above the liver, and the two kidneys and the fat that is on them, and burn them ²  on the altar.

Then the one presenting the offering ¹  must present a gift to the Lord from the peace offering sacrifice: He must remove the fat that covers the entrails and all the fat that surrounds the entrails, ² 

“‘Then he must take up all the fat from the sin offering bull: ¹  the fat covering the entrails ²  and all the fat surrounding the entrails, ³ 

“No one lights ¹  a lamp ²  and then covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a lampstand so that those who come in can see the light. ³ 

King David was very old; ¹  even when they covered him with blankets, ²  he could not get warm.

Yet I have not been silent because of the darkness, because of the thick darkness that covered my face. ¹
