For they have committed adultery and blood is on their hands. They have committed adultery with their idols, and their sons, whom they bore to me, ¹  they have passed through the fire as food to their idols. ² 

A man named Barabbas was imprisoned with rebels who had committed murder during an insurrection.

None of the sins he has committed will be held ¹  against him; because of the righteousness he has done, he will live.

When a wicked person turns from the wickedness he has committed and does what is just and right, he will preserve his life.

Because he considered ¹  and turned from all the sins he had done, he will surely live; he will not die.

None of the sins he has committed will be counted ¹  against him. He has done what is just and right; he will certainly live.

And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick and the Lord will raise him up – and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. ¹ 

Samaria has not committed half the sins you have; you have done more abominable deeds than they did. ¹  You have made your sisters appear righteous with all the abominable things you have done.

If a person commits a sin punishable by death and is executed, and you hang the corpse ¹  on a tree,

I grabbed hold of my concubine and carved her up and sent the pieces ¹  throughout the territory occupied by Israel, ²  because they committed such an unthinkable atrocity ³  in Israel.

This happened because of the sins he committed. He did evil in the sight of ¹  the Lord and followed in Jeroboam’s footsteps and encouraged Israel to continue sinning. ² 

“Do so because my people have committed a double wrong: they have rejected me, the fountain of life-giving water, ¹  and they have dug cisterns for themselves, cracked cisterns which cannot even hold water.”
