What is bent ¹  cannot be straightened, ²  and what is missing ³  cannot be supplied. ⁴ 

Fine gold cannot be given in exchange for it, nor can its price be weighed out in silver.

Indeed ¹  Sheol does not give you thanks; death does not ²  praise you. Those who descend into the pit do not anticipate your faithfulness.

You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot take part in the table of the Lord and the table of demons.

The topaz of Cush ¹  cannot be compared with it; it cannot be purchased with pure gold.

They do not comprehend or understand, for their eyes are blind and cannot see; their minds do not discern. ¹ 

Indeed, I have received a command ¹  to bless; he has blessed, ²  and I cannot reverse it. ³ 

Under three things the earth trembles, ¹  and under four things it cannot bear up:

If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, since he cannot deny himself. ¹

why it is so dark you cannot see, ¹  and why a flood ²  of water covers you.

It cannot be measured out for purchase ¹  with the gold of Ophir, with precious onyx ²  or sapphires.

They lock tightly together, one to the next; ¹  they cling together and cannot be separated.

for it is impossible ¹  for us not to speak about what we have seen and heard.”

Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

God thunders with his voice in marvelous ways; ¹  he does great things beyond our understanding. ² 

Arrows ¹  do not make it flee; slingstones become like chaff to it.

They have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but cannot see,

ears, but cannot hear, noses, but cannot smell,

If ¹  a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom will not be able to stand.
