Seven ¹  sons and three daughters were born to him. ² 

What is born of the flesh is flesh, ¹  and what is born of the Spirit is spirit.

but people ¹  are born ²  to trouble, as surely as the sparks ³  fly ⁴  upward. ⁵ 

Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must all ¹  be born from above.’ ²

So his parents replied, ¹  “We know that this is our son and that he was born blind.

Never before ¹  has anyone heard of someone causing a man born blind to see. ² 

Everyone who has been fathered ¹  by God does not practice sin, ²  because ³  God’s ⁴  seed ⁵  resides in him, and thus ⁶  he is not able to sin, because he has been fathered by God.
