But Simeon and Levi replied, ¹  “Should he treat our sister like a common prostitute?”

Then he angrily speaks to them and terrifies them in his rage, ¹  saying, ² 

You furiously stomp on the earth, you angrily trample down the nations.

When ¹  they received it, they began to complain ²  against the landowner,

Then Balak became very angry at Balaam, and he struck his hands together. ¹  Balak said to Balaam, “I called you to curse my enemies, and look, you have done nothing but bless ²  them these three times!

But when Elihu saw ¹  that the three men had no further reply, ²  he became very angry.

Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has his anger stifled his compassion?”

Assyria, the club I use to vent my anger, is as good as dead, ¹  a cudgel with which I angrily punish. ² 

I will angrily seek vengeance on the nations that do not obey me.” ¹

Stand up angrily, ¹  Lord! Rise up with raging fury against my enemies! ²  Wake up for my sake and execute the judgment you have decreed for them! ³ 

You burn them up like a fiery furnace ¹  when you appear; ²  the Lord angrily devours them; ³  the fire consumes them.

because of what the enemy says, ¹  and because of how the wicked ²  pressure me, ³  for they hurl trouble ⁴  down upon me ⁵  and angrily attack me.

It ¹  furiously struck down nations with unceasing blows. ²  It angrily ruled over nations, oppressing them without restraint. ³ 

It ¹  could have been sold for more than three hundred silver coins ²  and the money ³  given to the poor!” So ⁴  they spoke angrily to her.

When he went out from there, the experts in the law ¹  and the Pharisees began to oppose him bitterly, ²  and to ask him hostile questions ³  about many things,

Then the Jews who were hostile to Jesus ¹  began to argue with one another, ²  “How can this man ³  give us his flesh to eat?”

or with enmity he strikes him with his hand and he dies, the one who struck him must surely be put to death, for he is a murderer. The avenger of blood must kill the murderer when he meets him.

Angrily wipe them out! Wipe them out so they vanish! Let them know that God rules in Jacob and to the ends of the earth! (Selah)

Look, the name ¹  of the Lord comes from a distant place in raging anger and awesome splendor. ²  He speaks angrily and his word is like destructive fire. ³
