Now therefore kill every boy, ¹  and kill every woman who has had sexual intercourse with a man. ² 

The crowd ¹  answered, “You’re possessed by a demon! ²  Who is trying to kill you?” ³ 

You don’t want to kill me the way you killed the Egyptian yesterday, do you?’ ¹ 

Then ¹  a voice said ²  to him, “Get up, Peter; slaughter ³  and eat!”

They ¹  planned to arrest Jesus by stealth and kill him.

Now after some days had passed, the Jews plotted ¹  together to kill him,

I also heard a voice saying to me, ‘Get up, Peter; slaughter ¹  and eat!’

A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

Then some of the residents of Jerusalem ¹  began to say, “Isn’t this the man ²  they are trying ³  to kill?

Now the soldiers’ plan was to kill the prisoners ¹  so that none of them would escape by swimming away. ² 

Do ¹  not be afraid of those who kill the body ²  but cannot kill the soul. Instead, fear the one who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. ³ 

They will flog him severely ¹  and kill him. Yet ²  on the third day he will rise again.”

Now when they heard this, they became furious ¹  and wanted to execute them. ² 

When the king of Israel saw them, he asked Elisha, “Should I strike them down, ¹  my master?” ² 

Bring ¹  the fattened calf ²  and kill it! Let us eat ³  and celebrate,

If he is able to fight with me and strike me down, we will become your servants. But if I prevail against him and strike him down, you will become our servants and will serve us.”

“I ¹  tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, ²  and after that have nothing more they can do.

Now Joseph’s brothers ¹  saw him from a distance, and before he reached them, they plotted to kill him.

Now you say, ‘Go and say to your master, “Elijah is back,”’ ¹  but he will kill me.”

They will kill him, and on the third day he will be raised.” And they became greatly distressed.
