When King Hezekiah’s servants came to Isaiah,

The Lord told Isaiah, ¹ 

Hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you when he said,

When King Hezekiah’s servants came to Isaiah,

Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Listen to the word of the Lord,

Here is the message about Judah and Jerusalem ¹  that was revealed to Isaiah son of Amoz. ² 

¹ This is a message about Babylon that God revealed to Isaiah son of Amoz: ² 

Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Listen to the word of the Lord who commands armies:

so that what was spoken by Isaiah the prophet would be fulfilled: ¹ 

This fulfilled what was spoken by Isaiah the prophet: ¹ 

For this reason they could not believe, ¹  because again Isaiah said,

Isaiah said these things because he saw Christ’s ¹  glory, and spoke about him.

and was returning home, sitting ¹  in his chariot, reading ²  the prophet Isaiah.

Isaiah was still in the middle courtyard when the Lord told him, ¹ 

The rest of the events of Uzziah’s reign, from start to finish, were recorded by the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz. ¹ 

King Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz prayed about this and cried out to heaven.

Isaiah ordered, “Get a fig cake.” So they did as he ordered ¹  and placed it on the ulcerated sore, and he recovered. ² 

Isaiah the prophet called out to the Lord, and the Lord ¹  made the shadow go back ten steps on the stairs of Ahaz. ² 

¹  Isaiah ordered, “Let them take a fig cake and apply it to the ulcerated sore and he will get well.”

In this way what was spoken by Isaiah the prophet was fulfilled: ¹  “He took our weaknesses and carried our diseases.” ²
