This ¹  I command you – to love one another.

Command and teach these things.

He answered them, ¹  “What did Moses command you?”

You are my friends ¹  if you do what I command you.

At the commandment of the Lord they camped, and at the commandment of the Lord they traveled on; they kept the instructions of the Lord according to the commandment of the Lord, by the authority ¹  of Moses.

Indeed, I have received a command ¹  to bless; he has blessed, ²  and I cannot reverse it. ³ 

Therefore, I am commanding you to set apart for yourselves three cities.

Is it at your command ¹  that the eagle soars, and builds its nest on high?

You are my ¹  king, O God! Decree ²  Jacob’s ³  deliverance!

“Instruct the priests carrying the ark of the covenantal laws ¹  to come up from the Jordan.”

They said to him, “Why then did Moses command us to give a certificate of dismissal and to divorce her?” ¹ 

Now then, my son, do ¹  exactly what I tell you! ² 

This was the first time they set out on their journey according to the commandment ¹  of the Lord, by the authority ²  of Moses.

He ¹  sends his command through the earth; ²  swiftly his order reaches its destination. ³ 

Obey the king’s command, ¹  because you took ²  an oath before God ³  to be loyal to him. ⁴ 

I say this as a concession, not as a command.

At the commandment ¹  of the Lord the Israelites would begin their journey, and at the commandment of the Lord they would make camp; as long as ²  the cloud remained settled over the tabernacle they would camp.

Any man who rebels against what you say and does not obey all your commands will be executed. ¹  But ²  be strong and brave!”

When ¹  the cloud remained over the tabernacle a number of days, ²  they remained camped according to the Lord’s commandment, ³  and according to the Lord’s commandment they would journey.

So Moses said to them, “Remain ¹  here and I will hear ²  what the Lord will command concerning you.”
