“Now the parable means ¹  this: The seed is the word of God.

It is like a mustard seed ¹  that when sown in the ground, even though it is the smallest of all the seeds in the ground –

Now God ¹  who provides seed for the sower and bread for food will provide and multiply your supply of seed and will cause the harvest of your righteousness to grow.

Now, if such a carcass falls on any sowing seed which is to be sown, ¹  it is clean,

but if water is put on the seed and such a carcass falls on it, it is unclean to you.

The field is the world and the good seed are the people ¹  of the kingdom. The weeds are the people ²  of the evil one,

Then God said, “I now ¹  give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the entire earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. ² 

You must not plant your vineyard with two kinds of seed; otherwise the entire yield, both of the seed you plant and the produce of the vineyard, will be defiled. ¹ 

And as he sowed, some seeds ¹  fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them.

He ¹  answered, “The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man.

He also said, “The kingdom of God is like someone who spreads seed on the ground.

God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: ¹  plants yielding seeds according to their kinds, ²  and ³  trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds.” It was so.

The land produced vegetation – plants yielding seeds according to their kinds, and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. God saw that it was good.

(Now the manna was like coriander seed, and its color like the color of bdellium.

“‘If a man consecrates to the Lord some of his own landed property, the conversion value must be calculated in accordance with the amount of seed needed to sow it, ¹  a homer of barley seed being priced at fifty shekels of silver. ² 

And as he sowed, some seed ¹  fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured it.

“Indeed, a time is coming,” ¹  says the Lord, ²  “when I will cause people and animals to sprout up in the lands of Israel and Judah. ³ 

Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his descendant. ¹  Scripture ²  does not say, “and to the descendants,” ³  referring to many, but “and to your descendant,” ⁴  referring to one, who is Christ.

“A sower went out to sow ¹  his seed. ²  And as he sowed, some fell along the path and was trampled on, and the wild birds ³  devoured it.

Joseph said to the people, “Since I have bought you and your land today for Pharaoh, here is seed for you. Cultivate ¹  the land.
