He found there a man named Aeneas who had been confined to a mattress for eight years because ¹  he was paralyzed.

“Lord, ¹  my servant ²  is lying at home paralyzed, in terrible anguish.”

A great number of sick, blind, lame, and paralyzed people were lying in these walkways. ¹ 

Just then ¹  some men showed up, carrying a paralyzed man ²  on a stretcher. ³  They ⁴  were trying to bring him in and place him before Jesus. ⁵ 

For unclean spirits, ¹  crying with loud shrieks, were coming out of many who were possessed, ²  and many paralyzed and lame people were healed.

But so that you may know ¹  that the Son of Man ²  has authority on earth to forgive sins” – he said to the paralyzed man ³  – “I tell you, stand up, take your stretcher ⁴  and go home.” ⁵

When Jesus saw their ¹  faith, he said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” ² 

In the morning, when Nabal was sober, ¹  his wife told him about these matters. He had a stroke and was paralyzed. ² 

That is why snares surround you, and why sudden fear terrifies you,

And Zechariah, visibly shaken when he saw the angel, ¹  was seized with fear. ²

But so that you may know ¹  that the Son of Man ²  has authority on earth to forgive sins,” – he said to the paralytic ³  –

and they started on their journey. ¹  The surrounding cities were afraid of God, ²  and they did not pursue the sons of Jacob.

My strength leaves me; ¹  I am absolutely shocked. ² 

Like legs that hang limp ¹  from the lame, so ²  is a proverb ³  in the mouth of fools.
