Now if he has defrauded you of anything or owes you anything, charge what he owes ¹  to me.

After ¹  he went out, that same slave found one of his fellow slaves who owed him one hundred silver coins. ²  So ³  he grabbed him by the throat and started to choke him, ⁴  saying, ‘Pay back what you owe me!’ ⁵ 

“A certain creditor ¹  had two debtors; one owed him ²  five hundred silver coins, ³  and the other fifty.

So ¹  he contacted ²  his master’s debtors one by one. He asked the first, ‘How much do you owe my master?’

As ¹  he began settling his accounts, a man who owed ten thousand talents ²  was brought to him.

Pay everyone what is owed: taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due.

I, Paul, have written ¹  this letter ²  with my own hand: ³  I will repay it. I could also mention that you owe ⁴  me your very self.

Owe no one anything, except to love one another, for the one who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.

Then he said to another, ‘And how much do you owe?’ The second man ¹  replied, ‘A hundred measures ²  of wheat.’ The manager ³  said to him, ‘Take your bill, and write eighty.’ ⁴ 

For they were pleased to do this, and indeed they are indebted to the Jerusalem saints. ¹  For if the Gentiles have shared in their spiritual things, they are obligated also to minister to them in material things.

You may exact payment from a foreigner, but whatever your fellow Israelite ¹  owes you, you must remit.

And in anger his lord turned him over to the prison guards to torture him ¹  until he repaid all he owed.

He added, “Just name your wages – I’ll pay whatever you want.” ¹ 

With my knowledge I will speak comprehensively, ¹  and to my Creator I will ascribe righteousness. ² 

For our shield ¹  belongs to the Lord, our king to the Holy One of Israel. ² 

– children not born ¹  by human parents ²  or by human desire ³  or a husband’s ⁴  decision, ⁵  but by God.

Now to the one who works, his pay is not credited due to grace but due to obligation. ¹ 

So then, ¹  brothers and sisters, ²  we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh

They were shouting out in a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God, ¹  to the one seated on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

¹ “If you buy ²  a Hebrew servant, ³  he is to serve you for six years, but in the seventh year he will go out free ⁴  without paying anything. ⁵
