So the Israelites stripped off their ornaments by Mount Horeb.

But when the cloud was lifted up ¹  from the tabernacle, the Israelites would set out ²  on all their journeys;

Some of the descendants of ¹  Benjamin settled in Geba, ²  Micmash, Aija, Bethel ³  and its villages,

all that the Lord has commanded you by the authority ¹  of Moses, from the day that the Lord commanded Moses and continuing through your future generations –

So Saul was keeping an eye on David from that day onward.

For ¹  look, the kings assemble; ²  they advance together.

Now therefore reflect carefully on the recent past, ¹  before one stone was laid on another in the Lord’s temple. ² 

‘Think carefully about the past: ¹  from today, the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, ²  to the day work on the temple of the Lord was resumed, ³  think about it. ⁴ 

When the prescribed period is over, ¹  on the eighth day and thereafter the priests will offer up on the altar your burnt offerings and your peace offerings; ²  I will accept you, declares the sovereign Lord.”

The border of Amorite territory ran from the Scorpion Ascent ¹  to Sela and on up. ² 

From that time onward it was a binding ordinance ¹  for Israel, right up to the present time.

Many were bringing presents ¹  to the Lord in Jerusalem and precious gifts to King Hezekiah of Judah. From that time on he was respected by ²  all the nations.

But the righteous man holds to his way, and the one with clean hands grows stronger. ¹ 

The boundary line will extend beyond that, straight west from there to the Hill of Gareb and then turn southward to Goah. ¹ 

Then the house of Israel will know that I am the Lord their God, from that day forward.

And all the prophets, from Samuel and those who followed him, have spoken about and announced ¹  these days.

where he is now waiting ¹  until his enemies are made a footstool for his feet. ² 

¹ Then Moses led Israel to journey ²  away from the Red Sea. They went out to the Desert of Shur, walked for three days ³  into the desert, and found no water.

When the mountains see you, they shake. The torrential downpour sweeps through. ¹  The great deep ²  shouts out; it lifts its hands high. ³
