We are also ready to punish every act of disobedience, ¹  whenever your obedience is complete.

Although he was a son, he learned obedience through the things he suffered. ¹ 

If you have a willing attitude and obey, ¹  then you will again eat the good crops of the land.

For this reason also I wrote you: ¹  to test you to see ²  if you are obedient in everything.

Through him ¹  we have received grace and our apostleship ²  to bring about the obedience ³  of faith ⁴  among all the Gentiles on behalf of his name.

He humbled himself, by becoming obedient to the point of death – even death on a cross!

Remind them to be subject to rulers and ¹  authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work.

but now is disclosed, and through the prophetic scriptures has been made known to all the nations, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith –

And his affection for you is much greater ¹  when he remembers the obedience of you all, how you welcomed him with fear and trembling.

Like obedient children, do not comply with ¹  the evil urges you used to follow in your ignorance, ² 

Foreigners are powerless before me; ¹  when they hear of my exploits, they submit to me. ² 

For I will not dare to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in order to bring about the obedience ¹  of the Gentiles, by word and deed,

Since I was confident that you would obey, I wrote to you, because I knew that you would do even more than ¹  what I am asking you to do.

Then you must delegate ¹  some of your authority ²  to him, so that the whole community of the Israelites will be obedient. ³ 

Through the evidence ¹  of this service ²  they will glorify God because of your obedience to your confession in the gospel of Christ and the generosity of your sharing ³  with them and with everyone.

according to the foreknowledge of God the Father by being set apart by the Spirit for obedience and for sprinkling ¹  with Jesus Christ’s blood. May grace and peace be yours in full measure! ²
