Do not fret because of evil people or be envious of wicked people,

By David. Do not fret ²  when wicked men seem to succeed! ³  Do not envy evildoers!

Do not be angry and frustrated! ¹  Do not fret! That only leads to trouble!

Wait patiently for the Lord! ¹  Wait confidently ²  for him! Do not fret over the apparent success of a sinner, ³  a man who carries out wicked schemes!

It is better to live ¹  in a desert land ²  than with a quarrelsome and easily-provoked ³  woman.

A person’s folly ¹  subverts ²  his way, and ³  his heart rages ⁴  against the Lord.

They will pass through the land ¹  destitute and starving. Their hunger will make them angry, ²  and they will curse their king and their God ³  as they look upward.

Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God.

Fathers, ¹  do not provoke ²  your children, so they will not become disheartened.

He must burn the garment or the warp or the woof, whether wool or linen, or any article of leather which has the infection in it. Because it is a malignant disease it must be burned up in the fire.

the priest is to come and examine it, and if ¹  the infection has spread in the house, it is a malignant disease in the house. It is unclean.

Her rival wife used to upset her and make her worry, ¹  for the Lord had not enabled her to have children.

Indeed ¹  I am composed and quiet, ²  like a young child carried by its mother; ³  I am content like the young child I carry. ⁴ 

But you should go your way ¹  until the end. ²  You will rest and then at the end of the days you will arise to receive ³  what you have been allotted.” ⁴ 

It is not rude, it is not self-serving, it is not easily angered or resentful.
