“While doing this very thing, ¹  as I was going ²  to Damascus with authority and complete power ³  from the chief priests,

He laid his hands on him and commissioned him, just as the Lord commanded, ¹  by the authority ²  of Moses.

set him ¹  before Eleazar the priest and before the whole community, and commission ²  him publicly. ³ 

Then the Lord said to Moses, “The day of your death is near. Summon Joshua and present yourselves in the tent ¹  of meeting ²  so that I can commission him.” ³  So Moses and Joshua presented themselves in the tent of meeting.

and the Lord ¹  commissioned Joshua son of Nun, “Be strong and courageous, for you will take the Israelites to the land I have promised them, and I will be with you.” ² 

Then they presented the decrees of the king to the king’s satraps and to the governors of Trans-Euphrates, who gave help to the people and to the temple of God.

Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.

Commission ¹  Joshua, and encourage and strengthen him, because he will lead these people over and will enable them to inherit the land you will see.”

From Paul, ¹  an apostle (not from men, nor by human agency, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised him from the dead)

They stood these men before the apostles, who prayed ¹  and placed ²  their hands on them.

For if I do this voluntarily, I have a reward. But if I do it unwillingly, I am entrusted with a responsibility.

I became a servant of the church according to the stewardship ¹  from God – given to me for you – in order to complete ²  the word of God,

“See here,” Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I place ¹  you in authority over all the land of Egypt.” ² 

Select wise and practical ¹  men, those known among your tribes, whom I may appoint as your leaders.”

Can you raise your voice to the clouds so that a flood of water covers you? ¹ 

I thought, ¹  ‘You are gods; all of you are sons of the Most High.’ ² 

Yet you will die like mortals; ¹  you will fall like all the other rulers.” ² 

Then the Lord took me from tending ¹  flocks and gave me this commission, ²  ‘Go! Prophesy to my people Israel!’

and he sent ¹  them out to proclaim ²  the kingdom of God ³  and to heal the sick. ⁴ 

Then ¹  they departed and went throughout ²  the villages, proclaiming the good news ³  and healing people everywhere.
