and Judas Iscariot, ¹  who betrayed him. ² 

Get up, let us go. Look! My betrayer ¹  is approaching!”

Simon the Zealot ¹  and Judas Iscariot, ²  who betrayed him. ³ 

Get up, let us go. Look! My betrayer ¹  is approaching!”

“But look, the hand of the one who betrays ¹  me is with me on the table. ² 

From that time ¹  on, Judas ²  began looking for an opportunity to betray him.

Then ¹  Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests to betray Jesus into their hands. ² 

But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples (the one who was going to betray him) ¹  said,

(For Jesus ¹  knew the one who was going to betray him. For this reason he said, “Not every one of you is ²  clean.”) ³ 

(Now Judas, the one who betrayed him, knew the place too, because Jesus had met there many times ¹  with his disciples.) ² 

Then many will be led into sin, ¹  and they will betray one another and hate one another.

And while they were eating he said, “I tell you the truth, ¹  one of you will betray me.” ² 

He ¹  answered, “The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me ²  will betray me.

So ¹  Judas ²  agreed and began looking for an opportunity to betray Jesus ³  when no crowd was present. ⁴ 

For the Son of Man is to go just as it has been determined, ¹  but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed!”

But Jesus said to him, “Judas, would you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?” ¹ 

Now when ¹  Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus ²  had been condemned, he regretted what he had done and returned the thirty silver coins to the chief priests and the elders,

saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood!” But they said, “What is that to us? You take care of it yourself!”

He went away and discussed with the chief priests and officers of the temple guard ¹  how he might ²  betray Jesus, ³  handing him over to them. ⁴ 

But there are some of you who do not believe.” (For Jesus had already known from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.) ¹
