All were astounded and greatly confused, saying to one another, “What does this mean?”

Now when they heard this they were stunned, ¹  and they left him and went away.

But Jesus made no further reply, so that Pilate was amazed.

All the crowds were amazed and said, “Could this one be the Son of David?”

Completely baffled, they said, ¹  “Aren’t ²  all these who are speaking Galileans?

They ¹  were all amazed and began to say ²  to one another, “What’s happening here? ³  For with authority and power ⁴  he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!”

and they recognized him as the man who used to sit and ask for donations ¹  at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, and they were filled with astonishment and amazement ²  at what had happened to him.

But he did not answer even one accusation, so that the governor was quite amazed.

And all who heard Jesus ¹  were astonished ²  at his understanding and his answers.

They ¹  were amazed ²  at his teaching, because he spoke ³  with authority. ⁴ 

Furthermore, some women of our group amazed us. ¹  They ²  were at the tomb early this morning,

And they paid close attention to him because he had amazed them for a long time with his magic.

Now Peter continued knocking, and when they opened the door ¹  and saw him, they were greatly astonished. ² 

Even Simon himself believed, and after he was baptized, he stayed close to ¹  Philip constantly, and when he saw the signs and great miracles that were occurring, he was amazed. ² 

They were all amazed so that they asked each other, “What is this? A new teaching with authority! He even commands the unclean spirits and they obey him.”

When ¹  Jesus finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed by his teaching,

And the men ¹  were amazed and said, ²  “What sort of person is this? Even the winds and the sea obey him!” ³ 

And he was amazed because of their unbelief. Then ¹  he went around among the villages and taught.

So ¹  the child’s ²  father ³  and mother were amazed ⁴  at what was said about him.

The pillars ¹  of the heavens tremble and are amazed at his rebuke. ²
