not to be easily ¹  shaken from your composure or disturbed by any kind of spirit or message or letter allegedly from us, ²  to the effect that the day of the Lord is already here.

And they must stand as your towns of refuge from the avenger in order that the killer may not die until he has stood trial before the community.

And why not say, “Let us do evil so that good may come of it”? – as some who slander us allege that we say. ¹  (Their ²  condemnation is deserved!)

But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” ¹  Show me your faith without works and I will show you faith by ²  my works.
