While they were screaming ¹  and throwing off their cloaks ²  and tossing dust ³  in the air,

each one is so close to the next ¹  that no air can come between them.

any kind of land animal, any bird that flies in the sky,

For ¹  it has been hidden from the eyes of every living creature, and from the birds of the sky it has been concealed.

So I do not run uncertainly or box like one who hits only air.

the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea and everything that moves through the currents ¹  of the seas.

Finally ¹  the seventh angel ²  poured out his bowl into the air and a loud voice came out of the temple from the throne, saying: “It is done!”

In it ¹  were all kinds of four-footed animals and reptiles ²  of the earth and wild birds. ³ 

in which ¹  you formerly lived ²  according to this world’s present path, ³  according to the ruler of the kingdom ⁴  of the air, the ruler of ⁵  the spirit ⁶  that is now energizing ⁷  the sons of disobedience, ⁸ 

Then we who are alive, who are left, ¹  will be suddenly caught up ²  together ³  with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.

He ¹  opened the shaft of the abyss and smoke rose out of it ²  like smoke from a giant furnace. The ³  sun and the air were darkened with smoke from the shaft.

So the man named all the animals, the birds of the air, and the living creatures of the field, but for Adam ¹  no companion who corresponded to him was found. ² 

Jesus said to him, “Foxes have dens and the birds in the sky ¹  have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.” ² 

It is the same for you. If you do not speak clearly with your tongue, how will anyone know what is being said? For you will be speaking into the air.

“But now, ask the animals and they ²  will teach you, or the birds of the sky and they will tell you.

Then the dead bodies of these people will be left on the ground for the birds and wild animals to eat. ¹  There will not be any survivors to scare them away.

And to all the animals of the earth, and to every bird of the air, and to all the creatures that move on the ground – everything that has the breath of life in it – I give ¹  every green plant for food.” It was so.

Your carcasses will be food for every bird of the sky and wild animal of the earth, and there will be no one to chase them off.

The Philistine said to David, “Come here to me, so I can give your flesh to the birds of the sky and the wild animals of the field!” ¹ 

Jesus said to him, “Foxes have dens, and the birds in the sky ¹  have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.” ²
