So if ¹  Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?

Then Satan answered the Lord, “Is it for nothing that Job fears God? ¹ 

Then ¹  Satan ²  entered Judas, the one called Iscariot, who was one of the twelve. ³ 

And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself ¹  as an angel of light.

For some have already wandered away to follow Satan. ¹ 

Now ¹  when the thousand years are finished, Satan will be released from his prison

The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?” ¹  And Satan answered the Lord, ²  “From roving about ³  on the earth, and from walking back and forth across it.” ⁴ 

And the Lord said to Satan, “Where do you come from?” Satan answered the Lord, ¹  “From roving about on the earth, and from walking back and forth across it.” ² 

So ¹  he called them and spoke to them in parables: ²  “How can Satan cast out Satan?

The Lord ¹  said to Satan, “May the Lord rebuke you, Satan! May the Lord, who has chosen Jerusalem, ²  rebuke you! Isn’t this man like a burning stick snatched from the fire?”

So ¹  he said to them, “I saw ²  Satan fall ³  like lightning ⁴  from heaven.

so that we may not be exploited ¹  by Satan (for we are not ignorant of his schemes).

Among these are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I handed over to Satan ¹  to be taught not to blaspheme.

So the Lord said to Satan, “All right then, ¹  everything he has is ²  in your power. ³  Only do not extend your hand against the man himself!” ⁴  So Satan went out ⁵  from the presence of the Lord. ⁶ 

An adversary ¹  opposed ²  Israel, inciting David to count how many warriors Israel had. ³ 

So the Lord said to Satan, “All right, ¹  he is ²  in your power; ³  only preserve ⁴  his life.”

And if Satan rises against himself and is divided, he is not able to stand and his end has come.

‘I know ¹  where you live – where Satan’s throne is. Yet ²  you continue to cling ³  to my name and you have not denied your ⁴  faith in me, ⁵  even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, ⁶  who was killed in your city ⁷  where Satan lives.

So ¹  if ²  Satan too is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? I ask you this because ³  you claim that I cast out demons by Beelzebul.

Now the day came when ²  the sons of God ³  came to present themselves before ⁴  the Lord – and Satan ⁵  also arrived among them.
