Zebulun will live ¹  by the haven of the sea and become a haven for ships; his border will extend to Sidon. ² 

The sailors ¹  rejoiced because the waves ²  grew quiet, and he led them to the harbor ³  they desired.

With difficulty we sailed along the coast ¹  of Crete ²  and came to a place called Fair Havens that was near the town of Lasea. ³ 

“Since, I, the Lord, do not go back on my promises, ¹  you, sons of Jacob, have not perished.

Moreover, ¹  you have not brought us into a land that flows with milk and honey, nor given us an inheritance of fields and vineyards. Do you think you can blind ²  these men? We will not come up.”

Or have you not read in the law that the priests in the temple desecrate the Sabbath and yet are not guilty?

We have behaved corruptly against you, not obeying the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments that you commanded your servant Moses.

He ¹  said to them, “Haven’t you read what David did when he and his companions were hungry –

He answered, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator made them male and female, ¹ 

So they informed David, “Uriah has not gone down to his house.” So David said to Uriah, “Haven’t you just arrived from a journey? Why haven’t you gone down to your house?”

Because the harbor was not suitable to spend the winter in, the majority decided ¹  to put out to sea ²  from there. They hoped that ³  somehow they could reach ⁴  Phoenix, ⁵  a harbor of Crete facing ⁶  southwest and northwest, and spend the winter there.

Mankind does not know its place; ¹  it cannot be found in the land of the living.

I almost ¹  came to complete ruin ²  in the midst of the whole congregation!” ³ 

“We ¹  have blatantly rebelled; ²  you ³  have not forgiven.”

I will angrily seek vengeance on the nations that do not obey me.” ¹ 

Moses was very angry, and he said to the Lord, “Have no respect ¹  for their offering! I have not taken so much as one donkey from them, nor have I harmed any one of them!”

I thought, ¹  ‘Now the Philistines will come down on me at Gilgal and I have not sought the Lord’s favor.’ So I felt obligated ²  to offer the burnt offering.”

Why haven’t you obeyed ¹  the Lord? Instead you have greedily rushed upon the plunder! You have done what is wrong in the Lord’s estimation.” ² 

I still have left in Israel seven thousand followers who have not bowed their knees to Baal or kissed the images of him.” ¹ 

And the landowner ¹  replied to one of them, ²  ‘Friend, I am not treating you unfairly. Didn’t you agree with me to work for the standard wage? ³
