Why did the knees welcome me, ¹  and why were there ²  two breasts ³  that I might nurse at them? ⁴ 

he who shakes the earth out of its place ¹  so that its pillars tremble; ² 

“Surely ²  there is a mine ³  for silver, and a place where gold is refined. ⁴ 

when the waters become hard ¹  like stone, when the surface of the deep is frozen solid?

I looked at the mountains and saw that they were shaking. All the hills were swaying back and forth!

He appointed twelve: ¹  To Simon ²  he gave the name Peter;

a land where you may eat food ¹  in plenty and find no lack of anything, a land whose stones are iron ²  and from whose hills you can mine copper.

Samuel took a stone and placed it between Mizpah and Shen. ¹  He named it Ebenezer, ²  saying, “Up to here the Lord has helped us.”

They took Absalom, threw him into a large pit in the forest, and stacked a huge pile of stones over him. In the meantime all the Israelite soldiers fled to their homes. ¹ 

who loves me ¹  and is my stronghold, my refuge ²  and my deliverer, my shield and the one in whom I take shelter, who makes nations submit to me. ³ 

He says, ¹  “Build it! Build it! Clear a way! Remove all the obstacles out of the way of my people!”

You were watching as ¹  a stone was cut out, ²  but not by human hands. It struck the statue on its iron and clay feet, breaking them in pieces.

(14:1) ¹  Samaria will be held guilty, ²  because she rebelled against her God. They will fall by the sword, their infants will be dashed to the ground – their ³  pregnant women will be ripped open.

The mountains will disintegrate ¹  beneath him, and the valleys will be split in two. ²  The mountains will melt ³  like wax in a fire, the rocks will slide down like water cascading down a steep slope. ⁴ 

Other seed fell on rocky ground ¹  where it did not have much soil. It sprang up at once because the soil was not deep. ² 

Jesus, intensely moved ¹  again, came to the tomb. (Now it was a cave, and a stone was placed across it.) ² 

Why not? Because they pursued ¹  it not by faith but (as if it were possible) by works. ²  They stumbled over the stumbling stone, ³ 

The Lord says, ¹  “Beware! I am opposed to you, Babylon! ²  You are like a destructive mountain that destroys all the earth. I will unleash my power against you; ³  I will roll you off the cliffs and make you like a burned-out mountain. ⁴ 

Then the iron, clay, bronze, silver, and gold were broken in pieces without distinction ¹  and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors that the wind carries away. Not a trace of them could be found. But the stone that struck the statue became a large mountain that filled the entire earth.

You saw that a stone was cut from a mountain, but not by human hands; it smashed the iron, bronze, clay, silver, and gold into pieces. The great God has made known to the king what will occur in the future. ¹  The dream is certain, and its interpretation is reliable.”
