If anyone considers himself a prophet or spiritual person, he should acknowledge that what I write to you is the Lord’s command.

Therefore let those of us who are “perfect” embrace this point of view. ¹  If you think otherwise, God will reveal to you the error of your ways. ² 

For people ¹  swear by something greater than themselves, ²  and the oath serves as a confirmation to end all dispute. ³ 

For you have not come to something that can be touched, ¹  to a burning fire and darkness and gloom and a whirlwind

They will fill your houses, the houses of your servants, and all the houses of Egypt, such as ¹  neither ²  your fathers nor your grandfathers have seen since they have been ³  in the land until this day!’” Then Moses ⁴  turned and went out from Pharaoh.

Also, anything they fall on ¹  when they die will become unclean – any wood vessel or garment or article of leather or sackcloth. Any such vessel with which work is done must be immersed in water ²  and will be unclean until the evening. Then it will become clean.

His servants approached and said to him, “O master, ¹  if the prophet had told you to do some difficult task, ²  you would have been willing to do it. ³  It seems you should be happy that he simply said, “Wash and you will be healed.” ⁴ 

“There will be harsh condemnation for the hypocrite who has a valuable male animal in his flock but vows and sacrifices something inferior to the Lord. For I am a great king,” ¹  says the Lord who rules over all, “and my name is awesome among the nations.”

You desire and you do not have; you murder and envy and you cannot obtain; you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask;

Then the chief cupbearer said to Pharaoh, “Today I recall my failures. ¹ 

When ¹  the layer of dew had evaporated, ²  there on the surface of the desert was a thin flaky substance, ³  thin like frost on the earth.

“You must not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds those who see ¹  and subverts the words of the righteous.

Listen, O heavens, and I will speak; hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.

So we decided to build this altar, not for burnt offerings and sacrifices,

So he brought him to his house and fed the donkeys. They washed their feet and had a meal. ¹ 

In the middle of the night he was startled ¹  and turned over. ²  Now ³  he saw a woman ⁴  lying beside him! ⁵ 

Perhaps the Lord will notice my affliction ¹  and this day grant me good in place of his curse.” ² 

“If someone ¹  should attempt ²  a word with you, will you be impatient? ³  But who can refrain from speaking ⁴ ?

Can food that is tasteless ¹  be eaten without salt? Or is there any taste in the white ²  of an egg?

For now ¹  you have become like these streams that are no help; ²  you see a terror, ³  and are afraid.
