Queen Vashti ¹  also gave a banquet for the women in King Ahasuerus’ royal palace.

He marks out the horizon ¹  on the surface of the waters as a boundary between light and darkness.

All who see me taunt ¹  me; they mock me ²  and shake their heads. ³ 

The rules you set down ¹  are completely reliable. ²  Holiness ³  aptly adorns your house, O Lord, forever. ⁴ 

As far as the eastern horizon ¹  is from the west, ²  so he removes the guilt of our rebellious actions ³  from us.

For the Lord vindicates ¹  his people, and has compassion on his servants. ²

For this is God’s will: that you become holy, ¹  that you keep away from sexual immorality,

After God spoke long ago ¹  in various portions ²  and in various ways ³  to our ancestors ⁴  through the prophets,

by the fresh and living way that he inaugurated for us ¹  through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, ² 

These people are divisive, ¹  worldly, ²  devoid of the Spirit. ³
