I say this to your shame! Is there no one among you wise enough to settle disputes between fellow Christians? ¹ 

Were you called as a slave? ¹  Do not worry about it. But if indeed you are able to be free, make the most of the opportunity.

A wife is bound as long as her husband is living. But if her husband dies, ¹  she is free to marry anyone she wishes (only someone in the Lord).

So by your knowledge the weak brother or sister, ¹  for whom Christ died, is destroyed. ² 

If you sin against your brothers or sisters ¹  in this way and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ.

If I am not an apostle to others, at least I am to you, for you are the confirming sign ¹  of my apostleship in the Lord.

If an unbeliever invites you to dinner and you want to go, eat whatever is served without asking questions of conscience.

I praise you ¹  because you remember me in everything and maintain the traditions just as I passed them on to you.

in a moment, in the blinking ¹  of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.

For you have heard of my former way of life ¹  in Judaism, how I was savagely persecuting the church of God and trying to destroy it.

Are you so foolish? Although you began ¹  with ²  the Spirit, are you now trying to finish ³  by human effort? ⁴ 

in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham would come to the Gentiles, ¹  so that we could receive the promise of the Spirit by faith.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave ¹  nor free, there is neither male nor female ²  – for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.

So also we, when we were minors, ¹  were enslaved under the basic forces ²  of the world.

So then, ¹  whenever we have an opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who belong to the family of faith. ²

– since the eyes of your ¹  heart have been enlightened ²  – so that you may know what is the hope of his calling, ³  what is the wealth of his glorious ⁴  inheritance in the saints,
