Watch ¹  yourselves! If ²  your brother ³  sins, rebuke him. If ⁴  he repents, forgive him.

All the people, ¹  from the least to the greatest, paid close attention to him, saying, “This man is the power of God that is called ‘Great.’” ² 

But not all have obeyed the good news, for Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?” ¹ 

nor to occupy themselves with myths and interminable genealogies. ¹  Such things promote useless speculations rather than God’s redemptive plan ²  that operates by faith.

Now the Spirit explicitly says that in the later times some will desert the faith and occupy themselves ¹  with deceiving spirits and demonic teachings, ² 

Be conscientious about how you live and what you teach. ¹  Persevere in this, because by doing so you will save both yourself and those who listen to you.

Therefore we must pay closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.

Blessed is the one who reads the words of this ¹  prophecy aloud, ²  and blessed are ³  those who hear and obey ⁴  the things written in it, because the time is near! ⁵ 

He said, “If you will diligently obey ¹  the Lord your God, and do what is right ²  in his sight, and pay attention ³  to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, then all ⁴  the diseases ⁵  that I brought on the Egyptians I will not bring on you, for I, the Lord, am your healer.” ⁶ 

But carefully obey the commands and instructions Moses the Lord’s servant gave you. Love ¹  the Lord your God, follow all his instructions, ²  obey ³  his commands, be loyal to him, ⁴  and serve him with all your heart and being!” ⁵ 

But if you do not agree to our terms ¹  by being circumcised, then we will take ²  our sister ³  and depart.”

But Moses said before the Lord, “Since I speak with difficulty, ¹  why should Pharaoh listen to me?”

Yet Pharaoh’s heart became hard, ¹  and he did not listen to them, just as the Lord had predicted.

If you afflict them ¹  in any way ²  and they cry to me, I will surely hear ³  their cry,

“‘If in spite of this ¹  you do not obey me but walk in hostility against me, ² 

All these blessings will come to you in abundance ¹  if you obey the Lord your God:

The Lord’s messenger told ¹  Manoah, “Your wife should pay attention to everything I told her. ² 

But the people refused to heed Samuel’s warning. ¹  Instead they said, “No! There will be a king over us!

Now, O Lord, God of Israel, keep the promise you made to your servant, my father David, when you said, ‘You will never fail to have a successor ruling before me on the throne of Israel, ¹  provided that your descendants watch their step and serve me as you have done.’ ² 

All the leaders and people said to him, “Do not give in or agree to his demands.” ¹
