He will provide a grain offering: an ephah with the bull and an ephah with the ram, and with the lambs as much as he wishes, ¹  and a gallon ²  of olive oil with each ephah of grain. ³ 

Woe ¹  to those who wish for the day of the Lord! Why do you want the Lord’s day of judgment to come? It will bring darkness, not light.

Then some of the experts in the law ¹  along with some Pharisees ²  answered him, ³  “Teacher, we want to see a sign ⁴  from you.”

Am I not ¹  permitted to do what I want with what belongs to me? Or are you envious because I am generous?’ ² 

He released the man they asked for, who had been thrown in prison for insurrection and murder. But he handed Jesus over ¹  to their will. ² 

After two years ¹  had passed, Porcius Festus ²  succeeded Felix, ³  and because he wanted to do the Jews a favor, Felix left Paul in prison. ⁴ 

Timothy, my fellow worker, greets you; so do Lucius, Jason, and Sosipater, my compatriots. ¹ 

For I do not want to see you now in passing, since I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord allows.

I wanted to keep him so that he could serve me in your place ¹  during ²  my imprisonment for the sake of the gospel. ³ 

Dear friend, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, just as it is well with your soul. ¹ 

If the individual said to him, “First let the fat be burned away, and then take for yourself whatever you wish,” he would say, “No! ¹  Hand it over right now! If you don’t, I will take it forcibly!”

Then Abimelech said, “Look, my land is before you; live wherever you please.” ¹ 

But Moses said, ¹  “O ²  my Lord, please send anyone else whom you wish to send!” ³ 

Moses said, “As you wish! ¹  I will not see your face again.” ² 

If he does not redeem the field, but sells ¹  the field to someone else, he may never redeem it.

Make sure you do not offer burnt offerings in any place you wish,

if you should see among them ¹  an attractive woman whom you wish to take as a wife,

I wish that they were wise and could understand this, and that they could comprehend what will happen to them.”

Nor is there an arbiter ¹  between us, who ²  might lay ³  his hand on us both, ⁴ 

I should have been as though I had never existed; ¹  I should have been carried right from the womb to the grave!
