I also saw in my dream ¹  seven heads of grain growing on one stalk, full and good.

Let the priests also, who approach the Lord, sanctify themselves, lest the Lord break through ¹  against them.”

When he had finished ¹  speaking ²  all these words, the ground that was under them split open,

“Get away from this community, so that I can consume them in an instant!” But they threw themselves down with their faces to the ground. ¹ 

Indeed, ¹  you are my lamp, ²  Lord. The Lord illumines ³  the darkness around me. ⁴ 

But now, look, Adonijah has become king! But you, ¹  my master the king, are not even aware of it! ² 

He catches ¹  the wise in their own craftiness, ²  and the counsel of the cunning ³  is brought to a quick end. ⁴ 

He who removes mountains suddenly, ¹  who overturns them in his anger; ² 

They glide by ¹  like reed ²  boats, like an eagle that swoops ³  down on its prey. ⁴ 

his food is turned sour ¹  in his stomach; ²  it becomes the venom of serpents ³  within him.

Terrors overwhelm him like a flood; ¹  at night a whirlwind carries him off.

Indeed, ¹  you are my lamp, Lord. ²  My God ³  illuminates the darkness around me. ⁴ 

But then one passes by, and suddenly they have disappeared! ¹  I looked for them, but they could not be found.

Look, they hurl insults at me and openly threaten to kill me, ¹  for they say, ²  “Who hears?”

At the sound of your battle cry, ¹  O God of Jacob, both rider ²  and horse “fell asleep.” ³ 

But then the Lord awoke from his sleep; ¹  he was like a warrior in a drunken rage. ² 

the plague that comes in the darkness, or the disease that comes at noon. ¹ 

He then orders it all to melt; ¹  he breathes on it, ²  and the water flows.

Suddenly ¹  a woman came out to meet him! She was dressed like a prostitute ²  and with secret intent. ³ 

Hope ¹  deferred ²  makes the heart sick, ³  but a longing fulfilled ⁴  is like ⁵  a tree of life.
