All their neighbors assisted ¹  them with silver utensils, ²  gold, equipment, animals, and expensive gifts, not to mention ³  all the voluntary offerings.

“Look, here is the man who would not make ¹  God his protector! He trusted in his great wealth and was confident about his plans to destroy others.” ² 

I will put your robe on him, tie your belt around him, and transfer your authority to him. ¹  He will become a protector of ²  the residents of Jerusalem and of the people ³  of Judah.

However, I will first tell you what is written in a dependable book. ¹  (There is no one who strengthens me against these princes, ²  except Michael your ³  prince.

Then ¹  Peter ²  took hold ³  of him by the right hand and raised him up, and at once the man’s ⁴  feet and ankles were made strong. ⁵ 

He ¹  will also strengthen you to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

He has also conferred his favor on me before the king, his advisers, and all the influential leaders of the king. I gained strength as the hand of the Lord my God was on me, and I gathered leaders from Israel to go up with me.

“Surely, God does not reject a blameless man, ¹  nor does he grasp the hand ²  of the evildoers.

He trains my hands for battle; ¹  my arms can bend even the strongest bow. ² 

The Lord strengthens his people; ¹  he protects and delivers his chosen king. ² 

the root ¹  your right hand planted, the shoot you made to grow! ² 

You have allowed his adversaries to be victorious, ¹  and all his enemies to rejoice.

When ¹  I cried out for help, you answered me. You made me bold and energized me. ² 

So she grabbed him and kissed him, and with a bold expression ¹  she said to him,

A wise warrior ¹  is strong, ²  and a man of knowledge makes his strength stronger;
