They are exalted for a little while, and then they are gone, ¹  they are brought low ²  like all others, and gathered in, ³  and like a head of grain they are cut off.’ ⁴ 

Evil men will soon disappear; ¹  you will stare at the spot where they once were, but they will be gone. ² 

There is little Benjamin, their ruler, ¹  and the princes of Judah in their robes, ²  along with the princes of Zebulun and the princes of Naphtali.

Go, my people! Enter your inner rooms! Close your doors behind you! Hide for a little while, until his angry judgment is over! ¹ 

Then the Lord said to Hosea, ¹  “Name him ‘Jezreel,’ because in a little while I will punish ²  the dynasty ³  of Jehu on account of the bloodshed ⁴  in the valley of Jezreel, ⁵  and I will put an end to the kingdom ⁶  of Israel. ⁷ 

But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not try to stop them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” ¹ 

He took a little child and had him stand among them. Taking him in his arms, he said to them,

Philip replied, ¹  “Two hundred silver coins worth ²  of bread would not be enough for them, for each one to get a little.”

So they spent ¹  considerable ²  time with the disciples.

You are from God, little children, and have conquered them, ¹  because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

Why do you skip like rams, O mountains, like lambs, O hills?

But when Jesus discerned their innermost thoughts, ¹  he took a child, had him stand by ²  his side,

So if ¹  you cannot do such a very little thing as this, why do you worry about ²  the rest?

My children – I am again undergoing birth pains until Christ is formed in you! ¹ 

And if this is how God clothes the wild grass, ¹  which is here today and tomorrow is tossed into the fire to heat the oven, ²  won’t he clothe you even more, ³  you people of little faith?

“But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, ¹  it would be better for him to have a huge millstone ²  hung around his neck and to be drowned in the open sea. ³

And if ¹  this is how God clothes the wild grass, ²  which is here ³  today and tomorrow is tossed into the fire to heat the oven, ⁴  how much more ⁵  will he clothe you, you people of little faith!

Each ¹  of them was given a long white robe and they were told to rest for a little longer, until the full number was reached ²  of both their fellow servants ³  and their brothers who were going to be killed just as they had been.

all Joseph’s household, his brothers, and his father’s household. But they left their little children and their flocks and herds in the land of Goshen.
