a hidden path ¹  no bird of prey knows – no falcon’s ²  eye has spotted it.

He reached down ¹  from above and took hold of me; he pulled me from the surging water. ² 

Look, they hurl insults at me and openly threaten to kill me, ¹  for they say, ²  “Who hears?”

It is better for a person to meet ¹  a mother bear being robbed of her cubs, than ²  to encounter ³  a fool in his folly. ⁴ 

The one who digs a pit ¹  will fall into it; the one who rolls a stone – it will come back on him.

Many will stumble over the stone and the rock, ¹  and will fall and be seriously injured, and will be ensnared and captured.”

Then a wind ¹  lifted me up and brought me to the inner court; I watched ²  the glory of the Lord filling the temple. ³ 

For she kept saying to herself, ¹  “If only I touch his cloak, I will be healed.” ² 

So ¹  they seized him, ²  threw him out of the vineyard, ³  and killed him.

But ¹  those tenants ²  seized his slave, ³  beat him, ⁴  and sent him away empty-handed. ⁵ 

While ¹  they were talking and debating ²  these things, ³  Jesus himself approached and began to accompany them

So Barnabas and Saul, ¹  sent out by the Holy Spirit, went down to Seleucia, ²  and from there they sailed to Cyprus. ³ 

From there they sailed back to Antioch, ¹  where they had been commended ²  to the grace of God for the work they had now completed. ³ 

Then the brothers sent Paul away to the coast ¹  at once, but Silas and Timothy remained in Berea. ² 

He ¹  even tried to desecrate ²  the temple, so we arrested ³  him. ⁴ 

Or these men here ¹  should tell what crime ²  they found me guilty of ³  when I stood before the council, ⁴ 

For this reason the Jews seized me in the temple courts ¹  and were trying to kill me.

Not long after this, a hurricane-force ¹  wind called the northeaster ²  blew down from the island. ³ 

And I know that this man (whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, God knows)

Immediately I was in the Spirit, ¹  and ²  a throne was standing ³  in heaven with someone seated on it!
