When King Solomon finished constructing the Lord’s temple, he ¹  put the holy items that belonged to his father David (the silver, gold, and other articles) in the treasuries of the Lord’s temple.

Shebuel ¹  son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was the supervisor of the storehouses.

he makes the Bear, ¹  Orion, ²  and the Pleiades, ³  and the constellations of the southern sky; ⁴ 

“In what direction ¹  does light reside, and darkness, where is its place,

They say, “How does God know what we do? Is the sovereign one aware of what goes on?” ¹ 

His house contains wealth and riches; his integrity endures. ¹ 

if ¹  you seek ²  it like silver, ³  and search for it ⁴  like hidden treasure,

that I may cause ¹  those who love me to inherit wealth, and that I may fill ²  their treasuries. ³ 

If the righteous are recompensed on earth, ¹  how much more ²  the wicked sinner! ³ 

There is gold, and an abundance of rubies, but ¹  words of knowledge ²  are like ³  a precious jewel.

And if the righteous are barely saved, what will become of ¹  the ungodly and sinners? ² 

That fiftieth year will be your jubilee; you must not sow the land, harvest its aftergrowth, or pick the grapes of its unpruned vines. ¹ 

The priest gave to the officers of the units of hundreds King David’s spears and the shields that were kept in the Lord’s temple.

David supplied a large amount of iron for the nails of the doors of the gates and for braces, more bronze than could be weighed,

Asa took all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the Lord’s temple and of the royal palace and sent it to King Ben Hadad of Syria, ruler in Damascus, along with this message:

Jehoiada the priest gave to the officers of the units of hundreds King David’s spears and shields ¹  that were kept in God’s temple.

“Why are times not appointed by ¹  the Almighty? ²  Why do those who know him not see his days?

Look, the sovereign Lord who commands armies ¹  is about to remove from Jerusalem ²  and Judah every source of security, including ³  all the food and water, ⁴ 

He is your constant source of stability; ¹  he abundantly provides safety and great wisdom; ²  he gives all this to those who fear him. ³ 

I will give you hidden treasures, ¹  riches stashed away in secret places, so you may recognize that I am the Lord, the one who calls you by name, the God of Israel.
