so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.” ¹ 

But if you do not believe what Moses ¹  wrote, how will you believe my words?”

I tell you the solemn truth, ¹  the one who believes ²  has eternal life. ³ 

But you refuse to believe because you are not my sheep.

If I do not perform ¹  the deeds ²  of my Father, do not believe me.

and the one who lives and believes in me will never die. ¹  Do you believe this?”

Then many of the people, ¹  who had come with Mary and had seen the things Jesus ²  did, believed in him.

I have told you now before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe. ¹ 

“I am not praying ¹  only on their behalf, but also on behalf of those who believe ²  in me through their testimony, ³ 

But many of those who had listened to ¹  the message ²  believed, and the number of the men ³  came to about five thousand.

The ¹  hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number who believed ²  turned ³  to the Lord.

For Christ is the end of the law, with the result that there is righteousness for everyone who believes.

For with the heart one believes and thus has righteousness ¹  and with the mouth one confesses and thus has salvation. ² 

For the scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” ¹ 

Whether then it was I or they, this is the way we preach and this is the way you believed.

Just as Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness, ¹ 

For through the Spirit, by faith, we wait expectantly for the hope of righteousness.

As a result you became an example ¹  to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia.

And so ¹  all of them who have not believed the truth but have delighted in evil will be condemned. ² 

So ¹  we see that they could not enter because of unbelief.
