One ¹  should think about us this way – as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.

A person should examine himself first, ¹  and in this way ²  let him eat the bread and drink of the cup.

For there are many ¹  rebellious people, idle talkers, and deceivers, especially those with Jewish connections, ² 

So, although I have quite a lot of confidence in Christ and could command you to do what is proper,

Now if he has defrauded you of anything or owes you anything, charge what he owes ¹  to me.

and for this reason he is obligated to make sin offerings for himself as well as for the people.

But the rich person’s pride should be in his humiliation, because he will pass away like a wildflower in the meadow. ¹ 

But you, dear friends – recall the predictions ¹  foretold by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. ² 

“If a person sins and violates any of the Lord’s commandments which must not be violated ¹  (although he did not know it at the time, ²  but later realizes he is guilty), then he will bear his punishment for iniquity ³ 

So you too, when you have done everything you were commanded to do, should say, ‘We are slaves undeserving of special praise; ¹  we have only done what was our duty.’” ² 

By all these things, ¹  I have shown you that by working in this way we must help ²  the weak, ³  and remember the words of the Lord Jesus that he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” ⁴ 

They have been informed about you – that you teach all the Jews now living ¹  among the Gentiles to abandon ²  Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children ³  or live ⁴  according to our customs.

I have not eaten anything when I was in mourning, or removed any of it while ceremonially unclean, or offered any of it to the dead; ¹  I have obeyed you ²  and have done everything you have commanded me.

If anyone thinks he is acting inappropriately toward his virgin, ¹  if she is past the bloom of youth ²  and it seems necessary, he should do what he wishes; he does not sin. Let them marry.

You ¹  go get straw for yourselves wherever you can ²  find it, because there will be no reduction at all in your workload.’”

The Israelite foremen saw ¹  that they ²  were in trouble when they were told, ³  “You must not reduce the daily quota of your bricks.”

It must be eaten in one house; you must not bring any of the meat outside the house, and you must not break a bone of it.

“If a man borrows an animal ¹  from his neighbor, and it is hurt or dies when its owner was not with it, the man who borrowed it ²  will surely pay.

If any of the meat from the consecration offerings ¹  or any of the bread is left over ²  until morning, then you are to burn up ³  what is left over. It must not be eaten, ⁴  because it is holy.

See here! ¹  Its blood was not brought into the holy place within! ²  You should certainly have eaten it in the sanctuary just as I commanded!”
