He always remembers his covenantal decree, the promise he made ¹  to a thousand generations –

Yes, ¹  he remembered the sacred promise ²  he made to Abraham his servant.

They quickly forgot what he had done; ¹  they did not wait for his instructions. ² 

He remembered his covenant with them, and relented ¹  because of his great loyal love.

I remember your name during the night, O Lord, and I will keep ¹  your law.

A song of ascents. ²  O Lord, for David’s sake remember all his strenuous effort, ³ 

to the one who remembered us when we were down, ¹  for his loyal love endures,

By the rivers of Babylon we sit down and weep ²  when we remember Zion.

That is why I came out to meet you, to look for you, ¹  and I found you!

The one who diligently seeks ¹  good seeks favor, but the one who searches ²  for evil – it will come to him. ³ 

The one who pursues righteousness and love ¹  finds life, bounty, ²  and honor.

Remember this, so you can be brave! ¹  Think about it, you rebels! ² 

Their children are always thinking about ¹  their ²  altars and their sacred poles dedicated to the goddess Asherah, ³  set up beside the green trees on the high hills

¹ O Lord, reflect on ²  what has happened to us; consider ³  and look at ⁴  our disgrace.

Yet I will remember the covenant I made with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish a lasting ¹  covenant with you.

So I turned my attention ¹  to the Lord God ²  to implore him by prayer and requests, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes. ³ 

Blessed is the one who waits and attains to the 1,335 days.

They have sunk deep into corruption ¹  as in the days of Gibeah. He will remember their wrongdoing. He will repay them for their sins.

The men feared the Lord ¹  greatly, ²  and earnestly vowed ³  to offer lavish sacrifices ⁴  to the Lord. ⁵ 

Therefore ask the Lord of the harvest ¹  to send out ²  workers into his harvest.”
