You demonstrate your faithfulness to all generations. ¹  You established the earth and it stood firm.

I keep your precepts and rules, for you are aware of everything I do. ¹ 

A generation comes ¹  and a generation goes, ²  but the earth remains ³  the same ⁴  through the ages. ⁵ 

He said to them, “Wherever you enter a house, stay there ¹  until you leave the area.

Now ¹  there were shepherds ²  nearby ³  living out in the field, keeping guard ⁴  over their flock at night.

Whatever ¹  house you enter, stay there ²  until you leave the area. ³ 

Paul said to the centurion ¹  and the soldiers, “Unless these men stay with the ship, you ²  cannot be saved.”

If what someone has built survives, he will receive a reward.

To the unmarried and widows I say that it is best for them to remain as I am.

Let each one remain in that situation in life ¹  in which he was called.

In whatever situation someone was called, brothers and sisters, ¹  let him remain in it with God.

For if only in this life we have hope in Christ, we should be pitied more than anyone.

And since I am sure of this, I know that I will remain and continue with all of you for the sake of your progress ¹  and joy in the faith, ² 

Remind them to be subject to rulers and ¹  authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work.

He will assume his post ¹  and shepherd the people ²  by the Lord’s strength, by the sovereign authority of the Lord his God. ³  They will live securely, ⁴  for at that time he will be honored ⁵  even in the distant regions of ⁶  the earth.

“I will send it out,” says the Lord who rules over all, “and it will enter the house of the thief and of the person who swears falsely in my name. It will land in the middle of his house and destroy both timber and stones.”

the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot accept, ¹  because it does not see him or know him. But you know him, because he resides ²  with you and will be ³  in you.

you must take the first of all the ground’s produce you harvest from the land the Lord your God is giving you, place it in a basket, and go to the place where he ¹  chooses to locate his name. ² 

You did not choose me, but I chose you ¹  and appointed you to go and bear ²  fruit, fruit that remains, ³  so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you.

So he ¹  said to his servants, “You two stay ²  here with the donkey while ³  the boy and I go up there. We will worship ⁴  and then return to you.” ⁵
