They were unfaithful ¹  and acted as treacherously as ²  their ancestors; they were as unreliable as a malfunctioning bow. ³ 

A lion has roared! ¹  Who is not afraid? The sovereign Lord has spoken! Who can refuse to prophesy? ² 

I do not condone the use of rigged scales, or a bag of deceptive weights. ¹ 

A good tree is not able to bear bad fruit, nor a bad tree to bear good fruit.

“Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Surely he can’t be the Messiah, ¹  can he?” ² 

for it is impossible ¹  for us not to speak about what we have seen and heard.”
