You must number them from thirty years old and upward to fifty years old, all who enter the company to do the work of the tent of meeting.

from thirty years old and upward to fifty years old, everyone who entered to do the work of service and the work of carrying ¹  relating to the tent of meeting –

It is not the aged ¹  who are wise, nor old men who understand what is right.

Grandchildren ¹  are like ²  a crown ³  to the elderly, and the glory ⁴  of children is their parents. ⁵ 

“Don’t remember these earlier events; ¹  don’t recall these former events.

We said to my lord, ‘We have an aged father, and there is a young boy who was born when our father was old. ¹  The boy’s ²  brother is dead. He is the only one of his mother’s sons left, ³  and his father loves him.’

For by it the people of old ¹  received God’s commendation. ²
