The one who refuses correction despises himself, ¹  but whoever hears ²  reproof acquires understanding. ³ 

Obey the king’s command, ¹  because you took ²  an oath before God ³  to be loyal to him. ⁴ 

All your children will be followers of the Lord, and your children will enjoy great prosperity. ¹ 

and her daughters ¹  who are in the field will be slaughtered by the sword. Then they will know that I am the Lord.

They will know that I am the Lord when I ignite a fire in Egypt and all her allies are defeated. ¹ 

I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations and disperse them among foreign countries. Then they will know that I am the Lord.”

I will lay waste your cities; and you will become desolate. Then you will know that I am the Lord!

For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is ¹  my brother and sister and mother.”

For whoever does the will of God is ¹  my brother and sister and mother.”

Then ¹  they returned and prepared aromatic spices ²  and perfumes. ³  On the Sabbath they rested according to the commandment. ⁴ 

Our ¹  ancestors ²  were unwilling to obey ³  him, but pushed him aside ⁴  and turned back to Egypt in their hearts,

but in every nation ¹  the person who fears him ²  and does what is right ³  is welcomed before him.

Then, after they had fasted ¹  and ²  prayed and placed their hands ³  on them, they sent them off.

You were running well; who prevented you from obeying ¹  the truth?

Carry one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

Therefore, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, ¹  continue to live your lives ²  in him,

But I do not allow ¹  a woman to teach or exercise authority ²  over a man. She must remain quiet. ³ 

But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, ¹  quarrels, and fights about the law, ²  because they are useless and empty.

So also faith, if it does not have works, is dead being by itself.
