They sweep by like the wind and pass on. ¹  But the one who considers himself a god will be held guilty.” ² 

So ¹  the Pharisees ²  went out immediately and began plotting with the Herodians, ³  as to how they could assassinate ⁴  him.

So Herodias nursed a grudge against him and wanted to kill him. But ¹  she could not

Now ¹  the men who were holding Jesus ²  under guard began to mock him and beat him.

Then the soldiers cut the ropes ¹  of the ship’s boat and let it drift away. ² 

He himself is before all things and all things are held together ¹  in him.

(Now an omer is one tenth of an ephah.) ¹ 

He also made ten bronze basins, each of which could hold about 240 gallons. ¹  Each basin was six feet in diameter; ²  there was one basin for each stand.

“This is what the sovereign Lord says: “You will drink your sister’s deep and wide cup; ¹  you will be scorned and derided, for it holds a great deal.

Brotherly love must continue.

At that time Solomon and all Israel with him celebrated a festival for seven days. This great assembly included people from Lebo Hamath in the north to the Brook of Egypt in the south. ¹
