all the warriors went and recovered the bodies of Saul and his sons ¹  and brought them to Jabesh. They buried their remains ²  under the oak tree in Jabesh and fasted for seven days.

For three and a half days those from every ¹  people, tribe, ²  nation, and language will look at their corpses, because they will not permit them to be placed in a tomb. ³ 

“‘All the days that he separates himself to the Lord he must not contact ¹  a dead body. ² 

It is the same with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable, what is raised is imperishable. ¹ 

that each of you know how to possess his own body ¹  in holiness and honor,

After this, Joseph of Arimathea, a disciple of Jesus (but secretly, because he feared the Jewish leaders ¹ ), ²  asked Pilate if he could remove the body of Jesus. Pilate ³  gave him permission, so he went and took the body away. ⁴ 

all their warriors set out and traveled throughout the night. They took Saul’s corpse and the corpses of his sons from the city wall of Beth Shan and went ¹  to Jabesh, where they burned them.

Now this is his uncleanness in regard to his discharge ¹  – whether his body secretes his discharge or blocks his discharge, he is unclean. All the days that his body has a discharge or his body blocks his discharge, ²  this is his uncleanness. ³ 

Under the platform their wings were stretched out, each toward the other. Each of the beings also had two wings covering ¹  its body.

He has not held fast ¹  to the head from whom the whole body, supported ²  and knit together through its ligaments and sinews, grows with a growth that is from God. ³ 

This will bring ¹  healing to your body, ²  and refreshment ³  to your inner self. ⁴ 

Pleasant words are like ¹  a honeycomb, ²  sweet to the soul and healing ³  to the bones.

and they brought Uriah back from there. ¹  They took him to King Jehoiakim, who had him executed and had his body thrown into the burial place of the common people. ² 

“Then I kept on watching because of the arrogant words of the horn that was speaking. I was watching ¹  until the beast was killed and its body destroyed and thrown into ²  the flaming fire.

Joseph of Arimathea, a highly regarded member of the council, ¹  who was himself looking forward to ²  the kingdom of God, ³  went boldly to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. ⁴ 

And she saw two angels in white sitting where Jesus’ body had been lying, one at the head and one at the feet.

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, ¹  whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

Is not the cup of blessing that we bless a sharing in the blood of Christ? Is not the bread that we break a sharing in the body of Christ?

and after he had given thanks he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”

For the one who eats and drinks without careful regard ¹  for the body eats and drinks judgment against himself.
