Each morning I will destroy all the wicked people in the land, and remove all evildoers from the city of the Lord.

He delivered them from the power ¹  of the one who hated them, and rescued ²  them from the power ³  of the enemy.

Rage takes hold of me because of the wicked, those who reject your law.

They have almost destroyed me here on the earth, but I do not reject your precepts.

We escaped with our lives, ¹  like a bird from a hunter’s snare. The snare broke, and we escaped.

Hold on to instruction, ¹  do not let it go; protect it, ²  because it is your life.

Sing to the Lord! Praise the Lord! For he rescues the oppressed from the clutches of evildoers. ¹ 

For the Lord will rescue the descendants of Jacob. He will secure their release ¹  from those who had overpowered them. ² 

They will report that the fords have been captured, the reed marshes have been burned, the soldiers are terrified. ¹ 

Slaves ¹  rule over us; there is no one to rescue us from their power. ² 

But Jesus gently took his hand and raised him to his feet, and he stood up.

For ¹  Peter ²  and all who were with him were astonished ³  at the catch of fish that they had taken,

But Jesus ¹  gently took her by the hand and said, ²  “Child, get up.”

When the ship was caught in it ¹  and could not head into ²  the wind, we gave way to it and were driven ³  along.

Therefore, strengthen ¹  your listless hands and your weak knees, ² 

We know that we are from God, ¹  and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

When his brother came out with ¹  his hand clutching Esau’s heel, they named him Jacob. ²  Isaac was sixty years old ³  when they were born.

What will you say ¹  when the Lord ²  appoints as rulers over you those allies that you, yourself, had actually prepared as such? ³  Then anguish and agony will grip you like that of a woman giving birth to a baby. ⁴ 

The Lord who rules over all ¹  says, “The people of Israel are oppressed. So too are the people of Judah. ²  All those who took them captive are holding them prisoners. They refuse to set them free.

When they were emptying their sacks, there was each man’s bag of money in his sack! When they and their father saw the bags of money, they were afraid.
