Then ¹  one of the four living creatures gave the seven angels seven golden bowls filled with the wrath ²  of God who lives forever and ever,

The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures threw themselves to the ground ¹  and worshiped God, who was seated on the throne, saying: “Amen! Hallelujah!”

Every swarming thing that swarms on the land is detestable; it must not be eaten.

Over here is the deep, wide sea, ¹  which teems with innumerable swimming creatures, ²  living things both small and large.

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

Then ¹  I heard every creature – in heaven, on earth, under the earth, in the sea, and all that is in them – singing: ²  “To the one seated on the throne and to the Lamb be praise, honor, glory, and ruling power ³  forever and ever!”

Wild animals and wild dogs will congregate there; ¹  wild goats will bleat to one another. ²  Yes, nocturnal animals ³  will rest there and make for themselves a nest. ⁴ 

When the cherubim ¹  stood still, the wheels ²  stood still, and when they rose up, the wheels ³  rose up with them, for the spirit ⁴  of the living beings ⁵  was in the wheels. ⁶ 

They ¹  exchanged the truth of God for a lie ²  and worshiped and served the creation ³  rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

The Lord God formed ¹  out of the ground every living animal of the field and every bird of the air. He brought them to the man to see what he would ²  name them, and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name.

for the life of all flesh is its blood. ¹  So I have said to the Israelites: You must not eat the blood of any living thing ²  because the life of every living thing is its blood – all who eat it will be cut off. ³ 

Their wings were spread out above them; each had two wings touching the wings of one of the other beings on either side and two wings covering their bodies.

and in front of the throne was something like a sea of glass, like crystal. ¹  In ²  the middle of the throne ³  and around the throne were four living creatures ⁴  full of eyes in front and in back.

Then ¹  when the Lamb opened the third seal I heard the third living creature saying, “Come!” So ²  I looked, ³  and here came ⁴  a black horse! The ⁵  one who rode it ⁶  had a balance scale ⁷  in his hand.

Then ¹  I heard something like a voice from among the four living creatures saying, “A quart ²  of wheat will cost a day’s pay ³  and three quarts of barley will cost a day’s pay. But ⁴  do not damage the olive oil and the wine!”

and they were singing a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No ¹  one was able to learn the song except the one hundred and forty-four thousand who had been redeemed from the earth.

How many living things you have made, O Lord! ¹  You have exhibited great skill in making all of them; ²  the earth is full of the living things you have made.

“Tell the Israelites: ‘This is the kind of creature you may eat from among all the animals ¹  that are on the land.

in whose hand ¹  is the life ²  of every creature and the breath of all the human race. ³ 

You will call ¹  and I ²  – I will answer you; you will long for ³  the creature you have made. ⁴
