He conceals ¹  the face of the full moon, ²  shrouding it with his clouds.

he digs a pit ¹  and then falls into the hole he has made. ² 

A fool’s annoyance ¹  is known at once, ²  but the prudent ³  overlooks ⁴  an insult.

The one who forgives ¹  an offense seeks ²  love, but whoever repeats a matter separates close friends. ³ 

When ¹  he speaks graciously, ²  do not believe him, ³  for there are seven ⁴  abominations ⁵  within him.

Nothing is hidden ¹  that will not be revealed, ²  and nothing is secret that will not be made known.
