Like one who grabs a wild dog by the ears, ¹  so is the person passing by who becomes furious ²  over a quarrel not his own.

But ¹  he replied, ²  “Why were you looking for me? ³  Didn’t you know that I must be in my Father’s house?” ⁴ 

For what do I have to do with judging those outside? Are you not to judge those inside?

David replied to Ahimelech the priest, “The king instructed me to do something, but he said to me, ‘Don’t let anyone know the reason I am sending you or the instructions I have given you.’ ¹  I have told my soldiers ²  to wait at a certain place. ³

When ¹  he returned after receiving the kingdom, he summoned ²  these slaves to whom he had given the money. He wanted ³  to know how much they had earned ⁴  by trading.

Pharaoh will summon you and say, ‘What is your occupation?’

Solomon acquired horses from Egypt and from all the lands.

But even if it were ¹  true that I have erred, ²  my error ³  remains solely my concern!

A truthful witness ¹  does not lie, but a false witness ²  breathes out lies. ³ 

Those who linger over wine, those who go looking for mixed wine. ¹ 

She obtains ¹  wool and flax, and she is pleased to work with her hands. ² 

Her hands ¹  take hold ²  of the distaff, and her hands grasp the spindle.

For everything ¹  there is an appointed time, ²  and an appropriate time ³  for every activity ⁴  on earth: ⁵ 

And he got up and followed him, leaving everything ¹  behind. ² 

Do not lag in zeal, be enthusiastic in spirit, serve the Lord.

Others are busy with their own concerns, not those of Jesus Christ.
