Look, we have investigated this, so it is true. Hear it, ¹  and apply it for your own ²  good.” ³ 

“Surely, God does not reject a blameless man, ¹  nor does he grasp the hand ²  of the evildoers.

“Indeed, my eyes have seen all this, ²  my ears have heard and understood it.

But their prosperity is not their own doing. ¹  The counsel of the wicked is far from me! ² 

“Indeed, God does all these things, twice, three times, in his dealings ²  with a person,

Look ¹  at its strength in its loins, and its power in the muscles of its belly.

Yes, ¹  look! Those far from you ²  die; you destroy everyone who is unfaithful to you. ³ 

For look, your enemies are making a commotion; those who hate you are hostile. ¹ 

Certainly ¹  my tongue does not frame a word without you, O Lord, being thoroughly aware of it. ² 

I saw ¹  that thorns had grown up all over it, the ground ²  was covered with weeds, and its stone wall was broken down.

The Lord says to Edom, ¹  “I will certainly make you small among nations. I will make you despised by all humankind.

When the wall has collapsed, people will ask you, “Where is the whitewash you coated it with?”

When all this comes true – and it certainly will ¹  – then they will know that a prophet was among them.”

Look, ¹  the Lord is coming out of his dwelling place! He will descend and march on the earth’s mountaintops! ² 

Look, I will send you Elijah ¹  the prophet before the great and terrible day of the Lord arrives.

And ¹  a voice from heaven said, ²  “This is my one dear Son; ³  in him ⁴  I take great delight.” ⁵ 

so ¹  I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what is yours.’

Peter began to speak to him, “Look, ¹  we have left everything to follow you!” ² 

For the instant ¹  the sound of your greeting reached my ears, ²  the baby in my womb leaped for joy. ³ 

And Peter said, “Look, we have left everything we own ¹  to follow you!” ²
