The Philistines were standing on one hill, and the Israelites ¹  on another hill, with the valley between them.

You approached and stood at the foot of the mountain, a mountain ablaze to the sky above it ¹  and yet dark with a thick cloud. ² 

In the future ¹  the mountain of the Lord’s temple will endure ²  as the most important of mountains, and will be the most prominent of hills. ³  All the nations will stream to it,

In a good pasture I will feed them; the mountain heights of Israel will be their pasture. There they will lie down in a lush ¹  pasture, and they will feed on rich grass on the mountains of Israel.

The Lord says, ‘I have returned to Zion and will live within Jerusalem. ¹  Now Jerusalem will be called “truthful city,” “mountain of the Lord who rules over all,” “holy mountain.”’

The waters rose more than twenty feet ¹  above the mountains. ²

Like the fire that burns down the forest, or the flames that consume the mountainsides, ¹ 

The wild goats live in the high mountains; ¹  the rock badgers find safety in the cliffs.

And Moses removed Aaron’s garments and put them on his son Eleazar. So Aaron died there on the top of the mountain. And Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain.

In the future ¹  the Lord’s Temple Mount will be the most important mountain of all; ²  it will be more prominent than other hills. ³  People will stream to it.

In that day people ¹  will come to you ²  from Assyria as far as ³  Egypt, from Egypt as far as the Euphrates River, ⁴  from the seacoasts ⁵  and the mountains. ⁶ 

the ibex, ¹  the gazelle, ²  the deer, ³  the wild goat, the antelope, ⁴  the wild oryx, ⁵  and the mountain sheep. ⁶ 

as the mountains rose up, and the valleys went down – to the place you appointed for them. ¹ 

For the hills bring it food, ¹  where all the wild animals play.

I keep track of ¹  every bird in the hills, and the insects ²  of the field are mine.
