Joyfully you will draw water from the springs of deliverance. ¹ 

Just then there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit, ¹  and he cried out, ² 

Thus the people who had come to mourn ¹  said, “Look how much he loved him!”

when they see your pure and reverent conduct. ¹ 

While Paul was waiting for them in Athens, ¹  his spirit was greatly upset ²  because he saw ³  the city was full of idols.

rooted ¹  and built up in him and firm ²  in your ³  faith just as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

You have purified ¹  your souls by obeying the truth ²  in order to show sincere mutual love. ³  So ⁴  love one another earnestly from a pure heart. ⁵ 

As for you, what you have heard from the beginning must remain ¹  in you. If what you heard from the beginning remains in you, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father.

Then Esau realized ¹  that the Canaanite women ²  were displeasing to ³  his father Isaac.

Then Jacob tore his clothes, put on sackcloth, ¹  and mourned for his son many days.

When Saul and all the Israelites ¹  heard these words of the Philistine, they were upset and very afraid.

Let his own eyes see his destruction; ¹  let him drink of the anger of the Almighty.

Have I not wept for the unfortunate? ¹  Was not my soul grieved for the poor?

May all my enemies be humiliated ¹  and absolutely terrified! ²  May they turn back and be suddenly humiliated!

For your arrows pierce ¹  me, and your hand presses me down. ² 

My heart beats violently ¹  within me; the horrors of death overcome me. ² 

They sweep by like the wind and pass on. ¹  But the one who considers himself a god will be held guilty.” ² 

When King Herod ¹  heard this he was alarmed, and all Jerusalem with him.

Moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him.

Some ¹  devout men buried Stephen and made loud lamentation ²  over him. ³
